"Having the latest technology provides advantages extending beyond the results that we achieve in the operatory; it allows us to maintain a smaller staff, and that translates into better relationships in the office - both with patients and with fellow staff members. We have developed a great team that's not only highly proficient, but a lot of fun to work with." James Row DMD
Dr. James Row
Prior to entering the dental field, Dr. Row received respective Bachelor and Master degrees from the University of California and Western Seminary, as well as worked in the financial securities industry. Dr. Row received his D.M.D. degree from the Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU) School of Dentistry in 1996 and opened his practice at Orenco Station in July 1999. He holds a Class 2 Conscious Sedation Permit issued by the Oregon State Board of Dentistry - a licensure held by fewer than 1 out of every 10 general dentists in Oregon. Dr. Row and his family enjoy a number of the outdoor activities so readily available in the great Northwest, and has had a ball sharing some of his whitewater rafting enthusiasm with his staff!
Becki Howard, Office Manager
Having worked in orthodontic and oral surgery practices as a dental assistant, Becki joined Dr. Row in 2001 and quickly demonstrated her multi-tasking capabilities by undertaking adminstrative duties. Although she enjoys her role handling the administrative affairs of the practice, she is equally adept at stepping back into the operatory when needed. Patients and staff members alike will attest to both her thoroughness and relaxed sense of humor in running Dr. Row's front office. Her husband, Tom, runs his own licensed home inspection business, and occasionally can be persuaded to regale Dr. Row with (albeit limited) stories of his days as a Force Recon Marine!
Wendy Applegarth, Registered Dental Hygienist
Wendy followed up a Bachelor of Science degree from Central Washington University with another B.S. degree from Oregon Institute of Technology in Dental Hygiene in 2001. Shortly following graduation, she started working with Dr. Row, and has enjoyed the interpersonal opportunities with patients and staff members as well as the technical challenges of hygiene encountered "in an office that provides dentistry that I respect." She and her husband, Steve, are a real pleasure to be around, and our office is excited about the "new addition" to their family due this spring!
Stephanie Jackson, Dental Assistant
Stephanie is the relative newcomer to our staff, coming to us by way of the Concorde Dental Assisting program, which she completed in 2006. She enjoys Biking, camping and hiking with her family on her off days!

Dr. Row and Staff.... ...having fun on the Deschutes!
